Bonnie McGrath and her husband, Jim
Bonnie McGrath received a BFA from the Mass College of Art in Boston after graduating from the Acton schools. It was here she studied photography, painting, sculpture and ceramics continuing on to take more classes in photography and art throughout the years. Bonnie and her husband Jim have had many photography shows and received many awards in photography. For many years photography was the main focus of Bonnie's work. In the year 2000 she returned to her real passion—painting. She began taking classes again in advanced watercolor painting at the Danforth Musuem School in Framingham and attended classes taught by talented artist Teri Malo there—and private study with artist/author Jeanne Carbonetti in Chester, Vermont. Bonnie, who does her own matting and framing, uses a digital camera to gather ideas for paintings where ever she travels. She is author of the photography book titled “Walden Pond”, reflections by Henry D. Thoreau, currently in its second printing.
